Job Description:
Day to day duties include but are not limited to the
following:
Architects, plans, configures, installs, inventories, administers,
designs, troubleshoots, patches, and supports information
security
Audits and assesses datacenters within company for compliance with
various standards including internal.
Leads the technical aspects of internal security audits,
investigations, and assessments
Performs security research, analysis, and design for all client
computing systems , the voice and data infrastructure for IT as
well as business units
Work proactively with IT and business unit management with respect
to strategic and tactical plans for information security and
business resumption management.
Responsible for the prevention, detection, investigation, and
response with respect to security threats and attacks.
Architect formalized risk management and assessment for Information
Security programs.
Facilitates, manages, and performs security vulnerability
assessments and penetration tests.
Monitors trends in information technology and security that could
have an impact on the security of the organization?s products,
processes, infrastructure, or customers.
Provides expert level consultation and technical services on all
aspects of Information Security
Provide secure IT services to the business with flexibility in
mind.
Create the necessary plans for Information Security strategy,
creating a roadmap for developing a more mature set of IT policies,
processes, and procedures.
Create a sustainable, compliant end user environment to facilitate
growth, including COBIT, GLBA, HIPAA, ITIL, SOX, PCI, and other
relevant regulatory or necessary certifications.
Ensure security metrics are an integral part of the management of
Information Security functions.
Evaluates and prioritizes help desk support calls and affectively
escalates and documents all support
Create, update, and maintain documentation for responsible
areas.
Participate in the on-call After Hours Support process, participate
in Change Control Processes
Prepares and manages strategic/tactical roadmaps related to
Information Security.
Manages vendor negotiation and contract management including
preparation and review of RFPs, recommendations for new vendors and
equipment as required, identification of vendors to support remote
office locations, negotiation of rates and SLA's to insure adequate
system support, and review of all vendor invoices for accuracy and
completion of work
Assess Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project
Management (PM) processes.
Assess current CSIRT or equivalent program, offer recommendations,
implement recommendations as approved.
Creates, updates, manages a control matrix mapping of relevant
company specific requirements mapping such as HIPPA, PCI, etc. to a
register of controls across the company for internal and external
auditor and management use and reporting.
Manages outsourced or contract resources relating specifically for
Information Security.
